Fillings

Fillings: Fillings are used to repair cavities, which are holes in the teeth caused by tooth decay. The dentist will remove the decayed part of the tooth and then fill the hole with a filling material, such as composite resin or amalgam.

Root canals: A root canal is a treatment to repair a tooth that is badly infected. The dentist will remove the infected pulp from the tooth and then seal the tooth to prevent further infection.

Extractions: An extraction is the removal of a tooth. This may be necessary if the tooth is badly damaged or decayed, or if it is impacted (unable to erupt through the gums).

A dentist may recommend a tooth extraction for a number of reasons, including:

  • Severe decayThe tooth is too decayed to be repaired with a filling or root canal

  • InfectionThe tooth is infected and causing pain

  • ImpactedThe tooth is unable to erupt through the gums

  • CrowdingThe teeth are crowded and need to be removed to make room for orthodontic treatment

  • TraumaThe tooth is broken or fractured and can’t be restored with a filling or cap

  • Gum diseaseThe tooth is loose due to gum problems like periodontitis or pyorrhea

Crowns and Brideges

Crowns: A crown is a cap that covers a tooth. It is used to protect a tooth that is weak or damaged, or to improve the appearance of a tooth.

Bridges: A bridge is a dental appliance that replaces one or more missing teeth. It is anchored to the adjacent teeth with crowns

Gum Care With Laser

How it works

  • Targets infected tissue: Laser energy selectively removes infected gum tissue while preserving healthy tissue.
  • Kills bacteria: Laser light can kill bacteria that contribute to gum disease.
  • Promotes healing: Laser energy stimulates the healing process and can help tissue regenerate.

Benefits:

  • Less invasive: Often less invasive than traditional gum surgery, with minimal cutting and stitching.
  • Reduced pain and discomfort: Typically less painful and leads to faster recovery.
  • Reduced bleeding: Laser seals blood vessels during the procedure, minimizing bleeding.
  • Improved precision: Allows for greater precision, targeting only affected areas.
  • Faster healing: Promotes faster healing and tissue regeneration.
